Solare Praesidio

The Solare Praesidio is an Australian-made concertina style awning designed to extend under a pergola, glass roof, skylight/light well, or any overhead structure that requires shade. The Praesidio effortlessly enhances any space, adding a touch of elegance and creating an inviting ambiance.

Customisable Design

The Solare Praesidio is fully customisable in size, with a maximum width of 5.775 meters and a projection of up to 6 meters using our standard crossbars, making it suitable for both small and large outdoor spaces​

​Control Options

The Praesidio is best operated via a network of cord and pulleys or a simple pull stick and hook. The specially designed salt and corrosion resistant carriages run inside an extruded aluminium track for smooth gliding and minimal drawing resistance. The Praesidio can also run on stainless cables and cover large areas over pools and outdoor areas.

Pleat Depth Flexibility

You have the flexibility to customise the pleat depth according to your design preferences. By narrowing the space between the crossbars, you can achieve a more voluminous, elegant pleat. Alternatively, for a cleaner and more streamlined appearance, the pleats can be drawn tighter when the system is fully extended.

Variety of Fabrics

The system offers a wide selection of fabrics, ranging from traditional mesh options to more premium, weather-resistant materials like PVC-coated fabrics and acrylic canvas. This ensures that you can tailor the appearance and function of the shade to your specific requirements​
